The continuous calibration feature allows Motive to monitor and optimize the calibration quality throughout the capture. Utilizing this feature, Motive can take account of minor alterations on the camera setup. In other words, the system can be calibrated only once and you will no longer have to worry about camera displacements, vibrations, thermal expansion of camera mounts, or any physical impact which may have distorted the system setup.

The probe measurement kit allows users to sample precise 3D data points with exceptional accuracy. It utilizes the precise tracking capability of OptiTrack mocap systems and samples 3D locations within a calibrated capture volume. A probe with an attached rigid body is included with the purchased measurement kit. By looking at the markers on the rigid body, Motive computes precise x-y-z locations of the probe tip, and it allows you to collect 3D samples in real-time with sub-millimeter accuracy. This tool can be used to sample individual 3D points or to compute a distance or an angle between multiple 3D samples.

The rigid body refinement tool allows users to improve the quality of rigid body asset definitions. When a rigid body is created in Motive, only a single frame of the rigid body is referenced for defining its definition. This tool allows Motive to collect additional sample frames in the Live mode to improve the calculation of expected marker locations of the rigid body as well as position and orientation of the rigid body itself.

For Motive 1.11 and above the Project pane has been separated into 5 different panes for more convinient workflow:
The data management tools from the Project Pane is now separated into its own standalone pane which provides more versatile features for organizing Take files in Motive. The new Data Management pane features improved organization tools that allow users to easily categorize, search, and manage recorded Takes for more convenient post-processing workflow. You can simply load or drag-and-drop Take files or session folders into the pane and manage multiple Takes
The new assets pane manages the list of assets (rigid bodies, skeletons, force plates, etc.).
New graph's view pane offers more flexible features for viewing the recorded data.
Custom graph layouts can be created
Per each layout, up to 9 graphs (3 x 3) can be included, and you can select which data to include within the graph.
For each graph, you can choos which data you want to include. Force plate data, marker trajectory data, rigid body orientation/position data, and analog data collected by NI-DAQ devices.
Status Bar now has a new design.
