There are two different approaches for interfacing and collecting data from OptiTrack camera system onto MotionMonitor. Each method is appropriate for different types of research, clinical or sports applications. These methods include C3D file export and real-time data streaming. For each version of The MotionMonitor, the menu items and layouts may vary slightly but the general workflows are similar.
C3D file export and import approach allows users to pipeline recorded capture data onto The MotionMonitor. The following section covers how to export the data out of Motive and how to import it onto The MotionMonitor.
For more detailed decription on importing C3D files onto The MotionMonitor, please refer to the vendor documentation.
Live data from OptiTrack system can also be streamed into The MotionBuilder software. From the streamed data, The MotionBuilder can build a biomechanical model, record, and analyze the skeleton tracking in real-time. Please refer to The MotionMonitor documentation for instructions on setting up real-time streaming.
For enabling data streaming in Motive, please refer to the Data Streaming page.
